St. Mark’s Craft Group participated in the making of poppies for a display in Federation Square, Melbourne to commemorate the Centenary of the ANZAC landing at Gallipoli on the 25th of April, 1915. The aim for the Square had been to obtain 5000 poppies from all sources. In the event, over 250,000 were contributed from many community groups.
The Craft group also made about 60 poppies for a display in church that weekend and for donation to those with relatives lost in war.
