St Mark’s sees itself as part of and participates in the local community. As well as the events below, we are actively involved with the Dromana Primary School via SRE, Kid’s Hope and their Literacy Program and we also provide volunteers at the Community Centre for their Community Pantry.
Family Fun Day
On the Saturday nearest the Anniversary of the Dedication of St Mark’s Church on April 7th 1893, we open our church grounds to the local community.
We offer activities such as craft, mobile pet farm (Rain, Hayne and Shine), face painting, fairground rides, cake and book stalls and a Sausage Sizzle.
The Church is open for viewing and prayer.
Everything is FREE of charge.
Australia Day
We participate with a display tent at the Community Australia Day activities held in the Dromana Pier area on the Australia Day Public Holiday on January 26th.
We provide craft activities for children and promote our Church activities.
There is also a team available to discuss the Christian faith and pray for those who wish.
As well, in a separate display, we run a BBQ to cook sausages as part of the free breakfast and later use it as a fund raising activity to provide hot dogs and/or hamburgers and/or dim sims.
